Hey Faithful Readers...

Bet you're curious about the lack of posts.

BookADay is currently living up to its name. I'm currently reading between 2-3 books a day, to wrap up a contest I'm working on.

The deadline is March 15. If I don't go blind from so much reading, I'll be back then.

In the meantime, amuse yourself with this:

The Online Books Page is full of books that have been put online for your reading enjoyment. How many can you read by March 15?

Greetings! Hope the contest went well. And that you still have posession of your eyesight.

Personally, I'm lucky to read a book a month. Let alone a week. I'm interested to check out the 'banned books list', though. Let me know if you have any recommendations.

I finished all 37. I read more than 10 this last weekend. It was incredible. I'm going to begin posting the reviews for the books that were great next week.

Here are some great books that have been banned:

Ulysses. Then again, anything by Joyce rocks.

Lysistrata is a lot of fun. It's a play about when all the men go to war and the women fight back by withholding sex.

Canterbury Tales is long, but well worth the read. I think most of us read the Lady from Bath in high school.

Leaves of Grass is stunning.

Frankenstein is fun, if you're into the gothic novel. His story is tragic and beautiful, although the language gets a little stuffy.

Read The Bible and The Quran together. Throw the Pentauch in for good measure.

Read Origin of the Species. Do it in sync with Genesis.

Merchant of Venice. It's a good play, regardless of its lack of political correctness. Shylock is a bad guy and would be, no matter what his religion.

Also banned, but not online, but well worth reading:

1984. Animal Farm. Go Ask Alice. Cinderella. All I can think of from the top of my head--this comment is getting long.
